As an Azteca América news correspondent based in Dallas, I covered a wide range of stories rooted in Latino culture, from otherworldly features like giant hot dogs, the Fort Worth Cowtown cattle drive, and traveling Halloween-themed circus made up of 18-wheelers, to more serious topics such as immigration issues.
I also freelanced primarily as a sports reporter for Al Día, the Spanish-language arm of The Dallas Morning News, covering events such as a Mexico vs. Brazil friendly, Major League Soccer matches, and professional boxing. Additionally, I interviewed notable Latino Olympic athletes who competed in the 2012 Olympics.
In every assignment, I met remarkable people, and my reporting consistently centered on highlighting the human stories behind each event. Lucky me <3
